Sunnyvale lies along the historic El Camino Real and Highway 101. The location provides a mild, sunny climate with easy access to metropolitan amenities and abundant natural beauty. As one of the major cities comprising California's high-tech area known as Silicon Valley, Sunnyvale is the birthplace of the video game industry. Many technology companies are headquartered in Sunnyvale and many more operate there, including several aerospace/defense companies. With a population of 153,827, Sunnyvale is the seventh largest city in the Bay Area, but is also a town of quiet family neighborhoods, strong schools and a diverse community of people.
